Where do I send my starter material?

Do you only accept plasmid DNA as starting material?

At this time, we are only able to accept purified plasmid DNA as the starting material. Please send a minimum of 10 µL at >0.1 µg/mL in water or TE.

What if I have a low-yielding or unstable plasmid?

If you suspect your plasmid may be low-yielding, unstable, or otherwise abnormally tricky-to-scale, please contact us. Your material may be better suited for a high-end customized service.

How much material do I need to send?

Please send a minimum of 10 µL at >0.1 µg/mL in water or TE.

Can I use plasmid.bio for plasmids that are not ampicillin or kanamycin resistant?

Genovac’s plasmid.bio services are only designed to handle ampicillin or kanamycin resistant material. Please contact us for a custom plasmid quotation if you require a different resistance.

I need my pDNA in a different buffer / at a certain concentration / with additional Quality Control testing. Can I customize my plasmid.bio service?

No, but we can still help. Genovac offers fully-customized plasmid DNA production services, including guaranteed yield, formulation, and quality test. Please contact us at plasmid.bio@genovac.com or complete the custom requirements form.

What if I need more than 1 mg of DNA, or if I need a guaranteed quantity?

You may order multiple plasmid.bio preps of the same plasmid; however, the total yield is not guaranteed unless using our custom service. If you do require a guaranteed quantity, a custom order may cost less than ordering multiple plasmid.bio preps and may better suit your needs.
